Can’t stop, addicted to the shindig

There is so much going on right now in this city… my head hurts! That’s because everyone’s preparing for summer. For local artists, summer isn’t always a time to relax. With all the festivals going on (MEME, Jazz Fest, Folk Fest, and Fringe), it’s hard not to get caught up in preparations. I’m excited to be participating in (or at least documenting) some of these events.

We’ve just finished Day 5 of Manitoba’s 30th Annual Dance Festival. So far, it’s been a great run with tons of strong performers. That said, I can’t wait until it’s done – trying to manage my video work, dance rehearsals, and everything else has been a challenge. But my to-do list grows smaller every day. I take each spare moment to take care of the little tasks, which has been extremely effective.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting the creative minds behind PO-MO Project, one of the few interactive media companies in the city. They got me to shoot and edit a couple of videos of their Wonderland event. The apropos music is off of Pogo’s album Wonderland.
